Changes to the PvP system (Version 1.4.2 - 08.02.2017)

The Protective Shield

Previously the Protective Shield was automatically activated when you were attacked by another player, regardless of whether you lost or won the fight.

Now the Protective Shield is only activated when you are attacked by another player and lose the fight. As soon as you are attacked by another player and lose the fight, the shield activates and you are protected for 8 hours (or until you attack someone else).

This means that you can now more easily gain points passively, as you are given another chance to gain points after winning a defensive fight. This change makes having a strong defense more valuable than previously.

The duration of the Protective Shield is not influenced by these changes.

Gaining and losing points

Previously the amount of points gained or lost was calculated based on the amount of brawlers the winner had left standing at the end of the fight.

The new system takes into account the difference between the score of the two players fighting when awarding and subtracting points. Please consult the following list for detailed information.

When attacking a player who is ranked higher than yourself

- if you win the fight, you will gain at least 300 points and no more than 350 points

- if you lose the fight, you will lose at least 75 points and no more than 100 points

When attacking a player who is ranked lower than yourself

- if you win the fight, your will gain at least 150 points and no more than 200 points

- if you lose the fight, you will lose at least 150 points and no more than 200 points

When defending against a player who is ranked higher than yourself

- if you win the fight, you will gain at least 100 points and no more than 120 points

- if you lose the fight, you will lose at least 50 points and no more than 60 points

When defending against a player who is ranked lower than yourself

- if you win the fight, you will gain at least 50 points and no more than 60 points
- if you lose the fight, you will lose at least 100 points and no more than 120 points

The resetting of points

We have made some significant changes to how points are reset at the start of each new tournament. All players who are not in the Gold Leagues will no longer have their points reset when a new tournament begins. This means that they will not lose any progress and will be able to work their way up to the Gold Leagues more easily. Players who are placed in the Gold Leagues at the end of the tournament will still have their point reset in order to keep these leagues more competitive and dynamic.

Tournament length and required points

Tournaments now have a length of 2 weeks. In order to reflect the shorter tournament duration, the amount of points required to reach the Gold Leagues has been reduced significantly.

The amount of points required to reach the other leagues has not been changed, however it is now much easier to rise through these leagues due to the lack of the resetting of points (as described above).

Tournament rewards

In order to receive the tournament rewards, players need to attack another player at least once in the currently active tournament. Once they have done so, they will be eligible to receive the rewards. Please note that being attacked by another player (i.e. defending) is not sufficient to receive the rewards.

We have made changes to all rewards in order to better reflect the new point system and tournament length. While players now receive fewer rewards with each completed tournament, they can complete two tournaments in every four weeks (instead of one), thus receiving two rewards in the same period of time.

We have also added new items to the random drops that can be gained by players while brawling. This should increase the amount of useful items received with each fight.
